Yoon-Ah Jung
As a moving images maker and painter, I am influenced by all kinds of motion, natural activity, momentary effects, and also the use of different methods such as video projection, 16mm film and acrylic painting to express my beliefs and perspectives. My films are about 1 to 3 minutes long and contain the ideas of transformation, a cycle of life, spirituality, origin and harmonic progression. In the editing process, I show gradual changes in repeating time sequences and this action reflects the idea of individuality and creativity in the daily routine of life. I use natural objects such as light and water for my visual metaphor of transformation because they have both unique consistencies and varieties in their movement and colors which reflect on the environment.
